Some will simply need appropriate feeding and TLC to bring them back to health; others will need months of specialist treatment. Once our horses have been fully rehabilitated, they are assessed to identify which type of work they are suited to, before being rehomed through our Horse Loan Scheme. There are around 1,700 World Horse Welfare horses on loan, as everything from non-ridden companions to high-level competition horses. When a horse is ready to be rehomed, its details are added to the Horse Loan Scheme pages of our website www.worldhorsewelfare.org/hls so that potential borrowers can find out more about each horse and the type of work it can do. If you are interested in taking a horse on loan and would like more information, please visit www.worldhorsewelfare.org/hls or call our Loan Scheme adviser on 01953 497238.
