Energising, detoxifying… this smoothie is a great mid-afternoon pick-me-up and can help reduce sugar cravings. Adding avocado makes for a creamier, tastier and more substantial, smoothie, so it is perfect for green smoothie beginners.

2 apples

1 cucumber

12 grapes (more for a sweeter smoothie)

100g watercress

100g kale or spinach

½ avocado (optional)

Juice the apples, cucumber and grapes, then blend mixture with the watercress and kale (or spinach) and the optional avocado flesh.
