This smoothie is high in fibre and a great tonic for stomach problems. Plus, it is warming for winter and full of antioxidants, potassium and calcium. The cinnamon turns it a soft brown colour – don’t let that put you off! It is such a healthy way to start the day.

4 fresh figs or

3 dried figs

½ banana

3 apples

2 pears

1 tsp cinnamon (depending on taste)

If using dried figs, soak them overnight. Slice off the stem of each fig and cut them in half. Chop the banana into chunks. Juice the apples and the pears. Blend the juice with the cinnamon, figs and banana.
